Coillte Plans Further Engagement Over Controversial East Clare Wind Farm

Coillte says it will follow all regulations, and best international practice, as it plans a significant new wind farm in East Clare.

The semi-state company is planning a development of up to 24 turbines on Slieve Bernagh, close to Clare’s highest point of Moylussa.

But locals living nearby have expressed worries that the development will impact on the environment, their health and the local economy.
