150 Jobs To Be Created In Shannon

Shannon has received a major boost with the news that Jaguar Land Rover is to create 150 new jobs there.

The IDA-backed investment will see a new software engineering centre developed in the Shannon Free Zone.

The new facility will focus on technology designed to power electric and self-driving cars being designed by the luxury manufacturer.

The centre will be based across two buildings there, which form part of a €40 million first phase development in the Shannon Free Zone.

The firm is now seeking to fill the vacancies, which are aimed at software engineers with experience in artificial intelligence, safety critical systems and vehicle architecture.
