East Clare By-Election Commemoration Postponed

Plans to commemorate the election of Eamon DeValera have been postponed, to allow Clare fans support the Banner in the All Ireland Hurling Quarter Final.

The renowned Irish republican was elected as an East Clare MP on July 10th, 1917 to his seat – he went on to serve as both President and Taoiseach and represented Clare until 1959.

The event takes place at Glór in Ennis from 12pm on Sunday, July 23rd and is open to all.
