Ten people have been rescued from Lough Derg after their 40 foot cruiser ran aground.
Around 5.30 yesterday evening, the Lough Derg RNLI Lifeboat was dispatched to an area around the Scilly Islands, while the Killaloe Coastguard launched to assist.
All ten people onboard the vessel were unharmed and wearing their lifejackets – they were transferred to Mountshannon Harbour.
The RNLI is advising people taking to the water to ensure they have charts identifying areas that are not navigable, particularly as water levels in Lough Derg are currently low.
