Gusts of up to 100 kilometres per hour are expected in Clare today as Met Eireann issue a Status Yellow wind warning.
The warning also covers 16 other counties along the west coast, midlands and east.
The forecaster says thundery downpours are also likely throughout the period of the alert, which is set to expire at 6pm.
