Those With Disabilities “Must Not Fall Through Cracks” During COVID Restrictions

A prominent Clare-based disability rights activist is warning that those living with disabilities – must not be allowed to fall through the cracks, while restrictions remain in place.

The Clare Leader Forum, a representative group for disabled people, has called a halt to its normal activities during the lockdown, instead focusing on how it can reach out to members online.

However, with many of these people unable to access the internet, and nearly 3,000 many living in nursing homes or other care facilities throughout the country, it’s feared some are being forgotten about by the authorities.
