Young Child Critical Following Clare Crash

A young child remains in a critical condition in hospital following a road crash in Clare.

Two cars collided on the N85 between Ennis and Inagh, at Ballyea South, around quarter past nine this morning.

A 4 year-old girl was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital Limerick where she remains in a serious condition, while two men, the drivers of both cars, have also been taken to hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for a number of hours to allow for a technical examination, but it has since re-opened.
