Worrying Trend In Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Among The Young

Health officials have raised concerns over a “worrying trend” in the number of new coronavirus cases among young people.

Nearly half of the 23 cases confirmed yesterday were in people under the age of 35.

There were also six further deaths, bringing the death toll in Republic to 1,734.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 25,437. There were no cases confirmed in Clare for the 16th day in a row and the total remains at 369.
