A former Mayor of Clare has welcomed progress on a new 100-bed community hospital, which will replace St Joseph’s in Ennis.
The HSE has confirmed that it’s identified a site in Ennis for the 25 million euro development, but is remaining tight-lipped on its location due to the commercially sensitive nature of the acquisition process.
This process is due to be concluded by early next year, with the new facility expected to be open by 2021.
