Two Clare clubs are preparing to enter into action in the Munster Intermediate Championships.

In hurling, Feakle have travelled to Dungarvan to take on Clonea, the Waterford Champions.

The East Clare outfit secured the county title by virtue of their victory over Tubber in the county final, but Val Donnellan will be without Ger Hanrahan and Con Smith this afternoon.

Feakle were last in Munster Championship action four years ago, when they were beaten by Cappoquin in that year’s semi-final.

Clare FM hurling analyst and Feakle man Tommy Guilfoyle is hopeful that they’ll get over the line today

In football, meanwhile, Kilrush Shamrocks will hope that home advantage can help them in their Munster quarter-final this afternoon.

Kerry champions Kilcummin have travelled to Kilrush, where a place in the provincial decider is at stake.

Victory for Kilrush in their county final secured the main aim of the year for Dermot Coughlan’s men, but he says they’re now looking forward to today

Both of those games get underway at 1:30 and we’ll have live updates here on Clare FM.
