A three-year plan of works is being drawn up for Clare’s roads.
Later this year, the Council’s Transportation Section is to draw up a list of planned works to cover the years from 2019-2021.
The move comes as it’s expected that the Department will seek such a programme, suggesting a breakaway from the traditional situation whereby roads funding has been announced by government on an annual basis.

The plan will include proposals to improve secondary and tertiary roads.
