Signing A Deal With Remaining Broadband Bidder Poses Huge Risks – Dooley

Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD has expressed fear that the Government will rush into signing a deal with the remaining bidder for the National Broadband Plan, just to save face.

Timmy Dooley’s comments come as the country’s telecoms providers appear before the Public Accounts Committee to discuss the controversial plan.

He’s echoed comments by the Chairman of the PAC, his party colleague Sean Fleming, that the project has the potential for cost overruns greater than those seen with the National Children’s Hospital project.
