Shannon Parish Priest Pleased With Interest From Young People In Pope’s Visit

Shannon’s Parish Priest says there’s been strong interest from young people in the visit of Pope Francis to Ireland.

The Pontiff arrives in Dublin this morning for his two-day visit with more than 600,000 people expected to see him while he’s here.

It’s the biggest event in Ireland for almost 40 years, since the visit of John Paul II, and it’s the largest seen in Europe this year.

Father Arnie Rosney says he’s been pleasantly surprised by the number of young people in attendance.
