Semi Final Places Up For Grabs In Clare SFC

Doonbeg boss Brian Shanahan says they’re eager to get back into the business end of the Clare Senior Football championship.

The Magpies take on Clondegad in tomorrow’s quarter final tie as they look for a first semi final appearance since 2013.

They were also at this stage last year when they were beaten by neighbours Cooraclare

Shanahan says they want to keep their championship campaign going.

Throw in there is at 2.30pm in Kilmihil tomorrow afternoon.

Meanwhile 2015 champions St Josephs Miltown are bidding to make it three semi final appearances in a row when they take on Cooraclare.

Michael Neylons side have recovered from an opening round loss to Doonbeg to come through the playoff rounds, scoring 7-30 in those two games.

Neylon says they’ll have to be wary of the challenge they’ll face

They meet in Doonbeg on Saturday evening at 5.45pm.
