It will be another derby battle for Sixmilebridge, who face neighbours Newmarket in this years semi final tie.

The sides met in the showpiece event four years ago when the Blues were defending champions with the Bridge coming out on top by 1-10 to 0-11, on a day when a Niall Gilligan penalty was the big score of the game.

The other last four tie pits last years beaten finalists Clonlara against a Clooney/Quin side who are featuring at this stage of the competition for the first time since 1952.

In the intermediate championship semi finals, Kilmaley have been drawn to face Parteen while Tubber do battle with Smith O’Briens.

The semi finals of both championships are scheduled to take place on the weekend of September 23rd.
