Safety Measures At Two Problem Spots In Ennis Following Residents’ Concerns

Safety works are to be carried out at two junctions in Ennis, on foot of concerns which had been expressed by local residents.

35,000 euro will go towards the installation of a padestrian crossing at the junction of Carmody Street and the Drumbiggle Road, while the same amount has been granted for works at Ballymacahill Cross on the Tulla Road.

Just last month residents there spoke out about living in “mortal fear” of an accident on the road, which sees 15,000 vehicles travelling on it every day.
