One of Clare’s All Ireland heroes of 2013 says lifting the Liam McCarthy is the stand out moment of his intercounty career.
Newmarkets Colin Ryan announced his retirement from county hurling yesterday, bringing down the curtain on a spell stretching back to 2007.
In his time with the county panel, Ryan won the All Ireland and National League titles while he also helped the Banner to a first ever U21 All Hurling title in 2009.

It comes in the same week that Brendan Bugler also announced he was stepping away from the county panel.
