Rise In Clare Drivers’ Use Of Mobile Phones Behind Wheel “Frightening”

The rise in the use of social media while driving in Clare has been described as a “frightening” trend.

It follows the release of figures by Clare Gardaí, which show that 610 cases of mobile phone use behind the wheel have been detected so far this year.

It’s up from 540 in the same period last year and is a growing concern for road safety in the county.
