A reclassification of COVID-19 cases is one of the reasons behind an increase in cases of the virus here in Clare.
After the growth in cases here had slowed, the past two days has seen an additional 45 cases confirmed here, bringing the total number to 299.
But in the same time, the number of cases in Limerick has fallen.

The HSE has confirmed to the Limerick Leader that it has reclassified cases and that some of those which had been in the Limerick total are now being counted in Clare.
