Clonlara manager Damien Power feels it will be difficult to maintain interest for club players with no championship action in the summer months.
The opening round of the Clare championships took place last weekend, but no dates are set for the second round while the draws have not been made either.
The championship is unlikely to resume until the county team’s season comes to an end, but there will be a round of the Clare Cup played next weekend.
