The captain of the Clare Senior hurlers says the competition for places in the starting 15 is ramping up ahead of the Munster Final.

Management are due to finalise their team for the clash against Cork tomorrow night, with Tulla’s David McInerney expected to be available for selection after recovering from a hamstring issue.

Oisin O’Brien has returned from a cruciate injury and is expected to start, meaning there will be at least one change from the semi final win over Limerick.

Pat O’Connor says no one is taking a starting jersey for granted.

Meanwhile Cork forward Conor Lehane has been passed fit to start in Sunday’s final.

The prolific forward has contributed 14 points in the provincial campaign to date in the Rebels wins over Tipperary and Waterford.

He left the field of play in the victory over the Deise and didn’t feature for his Club Midleton in their recent County Championship fixture.

Substitute Conor O’Sullivan is the only Cork player ruled out of Sunday’s game.

Speaking last night, Cork Manager Kieran Kingston says Lehane and Midfielder Bill Cooper have both been rested but are back in contention for starts.
