A formal objection to the draws for third round of the Clare Senior Football championship will be heard by the CCC of Clare GAA this evening.

The objection was lodged by O’Currys, after Eire Óg and Corofin were drawn together having already played in Round One with the men from the west due to face 2015 champions Miltown.

A motion that repeat pairings be avoided up to and including the quarter finals where possible was adopted at Clare GAA’s Convention.

Chairman of Clare GAA Joe Cooney has confirmed to Clare FM that they’ve recieved the objection and it will be discussed tonight by the CCC before a decision is made on how to proceed.

The games are currently due to be played next weekend, with the other tie seeing Doonbeg and St Josephs set to do battle while Ennistymon await the losers of the Clondegad v Lissycasey replay which is also down for decision on Saturday.
