Neylon: Miltown Have Learned From Defeat Ahead Of Clare SFC Round Two

The manager of the 2015 Clare Senior Football champions says they’ve learned from their defeat in the opening round of this years championship.

St Josephs came out on the wrong side of the result against Doonbeg meaning they now face a battle to avoid falling into the relegation scrap.

St Breckan’s provide the opposition for Michael Neylon’s side, with their last meeting coming in the 2015 semi final which Miltown won en route to the Jack Daly.

They meet in Ennistymon on Sunday afternoon at 1.30pm

Meanwhile the defending champions are bidding to take another step towards retaining their title when they face O’Currys in the winners round tomorrow afternoon.

Kilmurry Ibrickane come into the game off the back of an impressive win over Wolfe Tones in Round One, but will be missing at least two of the team from that day.

Noel Downes is ruled out through injury while defender Darragh Sexton is also unavailable.

Manager Aiden Moloney says reaching the quarter final is their only goal this weekend.
