Newmarket Celtic & Shannon Town Await FAI Junior Cup Quarter Final Draw

Newmarket Celtic and Shannon Town will find out their opponents in the FAI Junior Cup Quarter Finals this evening.

Both Clare clubs are in the last eight draw which takes place at the Aviva Stadium with the games set to be played on the weekend of March 11th.

It’s Shannon Town’s first time to reach this stage of the competition while Newmarket were last at this point in 2016.

Newmarket boss Liam Murphy says both sides deserve to be among the best in the country.

Meanwhile Shannon Town manager Donal Magee says they will hold no fear of any of their potential opponents.

They overcame last years beaten finalists Evergreen in the last 16 and Magee says that’s brought huge confidence to the squad.

The draw gets underway at the Aviva Stadium this evening from 5pm
