Clare joint hurling manager Donal Moloney feels the squad and management will have learned a lot from their 2017 campaign.

Moloney and Gerry O’Connor saw their maiden year as joint senior managers end with defeat against Tipperary in the All Ireland Quarter Final.

The Banner were left to rue a series of missed chances, with a disallowed goal and 18 wides seeing them fall to a three point loss in Pairc ui Chaoimh

Moloney says while the defeat against the Premier was disappointing, he’s confident there’s better days ahead for this group of players.

Meanwhile the draw for the All Ireland semi finals sees Tipperary going up against Galway for the third year in a row at this stage of the championship.

They clash in Croke Park on Sunday August 6th, while Cork and Waterford go head to head a week later.
