Clare’s minor ladies football team made the ideal start to their Munster championship game when they beat Limerick 4-9 to 3-8 in the group stages.
The contest in Mungret was a dress rehearsal for the provincial final between the same two teams.
Both the Banner and the Shannonsiders got to use their full panel with unlimited substitutes in Mungret as the stakes will be higher in three weeks.
