Miltown Back In The Hunt For Jack Daly

2015 champions Miltown are back in the race for Jack Daly.

They produced a strong second half performance to beat St Breckan’s by 1-13 to 0-7 and seal their spot in the playoff round, while consigning their opponents to the relegation scrap.

It was the North Clare men who were first out of the traps with a two point inside the opening minutes in a game played in very difficult conditions.

Eoin Cleary got Miltown off the mark from a placed ball, before Joe Curtin levelled matters up once more.

St Breckans then hit back with next two scores to go 0-4 to 0-2 clear with 20 minutes on the clock.

Miltown hit back once more to level matters before the North Clare men edged in front once more.

County star Eoin Cleary then hit three points in a row to leave the 2015 champions ahead by 0-7 to 0-6 at the break.

Cleary was again on target after the restart with four more points in a row and when Graham Kelly fisted over. it left his side 0-12 to 0-6 ahead.

Cormac Murray then pounced for a goal to put the game beyond any doubt, before St Breckan’s registered their first point of the half.

Joe Curtin got his second of the game to finish the scoring, with Miltown securing the nine point win.
