Midwest Hospital Campaign Take Protest To Streets Of Limerick

A major protest is being mounted in Limerick this lunchtime, calling for the A&E departments in Ennis and Nenagh to be reopened to alleviate overcrowding at UHL.

Contingents of the Midwest Hospital Campaign from Clare, Limerick and Tipperary are marching through the city, joining forces on Bedford Row, in protest over the handling of the overcrowding crisis in the region.

They say they will take their demonstration all the way to Leinster House, if their demands are not listened to by the general election candidates who are seeking a seat in Dáil Éireann.
