The National Forecaster made the decision at 12 noon on Sunday, but has kept the Orange level in operation for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Cork, Tipperary and Waterford.

Met Eireann’s Status Yellow warning is for weather conditions that do not pose an immediate threat to the general population, but only to those exposed to risk by nature of their location or activity.

As the clean-up following Storm Emma continues services are beginning to return to normality.

Irish Rail and Dublin Coach services are running as usual while all Bus Eireann routes except Route 350 – which is only operating between Ballyvaughan and Galway – are operating as normal.

Clare County Council crews have been out around Clare again today and report that conditions have generally significantly improved since yesterday, but are warning that some back and tertiary roads may still be impassable and so to excercise caution.

Attention is turning now to the melting snow which is expected to raise river levels and prompt flooding in parts around the Country over the next few days.

However, Clare County Council has moved to ease fears that there will be widespread flooding around the County.
