St Josephs manager Seanie McMahon is warning his side have to improve if they’re to keep their season alive.

The men from the Parish take on 2014 champions Cratloe in Round Three of this years Clare Senior Hurling Championship, with a quarter final place on offer for the winners.

Doora/Barefield are already assured of their place in the top tier after victory in Round One, but defeat last time out means they now face a battle for a spot in the last eight.

McMahon says they can only focus on their own performance

Throw in for that one is at 1.30pm in Sixmilebridge on Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile Whitegate boss Mike Ryan feels his side are facing a huge challenge as they look to reach the business end of the championship.

Clooney/Quin provide the opposition for the east Clare men, with both teams coming in off the back of contrasting results last time out.

A tour de force from Peter Duggan saw Clooney/Quin beating Feakle after extra time, while Whitegate came out on the wrong side of the result against Eire Óg.

Ryan says another tough afternoon awaits.

They start in Cusack Park on Saturday afternoon at 4pm
