Kilmihil And Kilrush Set For Clare IFC Final Showdown

A place in the 2018 Clare Senior Football championship is on the line this Sunday in the Intermediate Final.

West Clare rivals Kilrush and Kilmihil go head to head in a bid to get out of the second tier for next season.

Kilmihil have suffered final heartbreak on three occasions in recent years, losing out to O’Currys, Miltown and Corofin.

Manager Enda O’Halloran says they can’t allow those experiences to be a factor this time out.

Meanwhile Kilrush are bidding to bounce straight back up to the senior ranks, having suffered defeat in last years relegation final against St Josephs Doora Barefield.

The Shams are still the roll of honour leaders in Clare senior football with 21 titles, 3 more than nearest rivals Doonbeg.
