Reigning champions Kilmurry Ibrickane are safely through to the last 8 of the 2017 Clare SFC.

The Bricks enjoyed a 1-16 to 0-9 win over O’Currys with Mark McCarthys second half goal putting the game beyond doubt.

The men from the peninsula now go into the playoff round.

2015 finalists Cooraclare are also safely through.

They edged a tight battle with neighbours Doonbeg, winning by 1-12 to 0-13.

A second half goal from Jack Morrissey put the Sky Blues clear with ten minutes to play, with David Tubridy’s late effort scraping the top of the crossbar.

Clondegad and Lissycasey will have to do it all over again though.

They couldn’t be seperated after extra time on a score line of Lissycasey 1-12 Clondegad 0-15.
