Junior Minister Vows To Deal With Issue Of Abortion

A Junior Minister insists that the issue of abortion won’t be kicked down the road.

Minister of State for Mental Health and Older People Helen McEntee, who is visiting Clare today, is commenting in light of a vote from the Citizens Assembly, to allow terminations with ‘no restriction as to reasons’.

The group’s recommendations will be handed to the Oireachtas by the end of June, and then it’ll be up to the all-party committee to consider it and propose legislative changes ahead of any possible referendum.
