The British Prime Minister travels to Brussels this afternoon in an eleventh-hour effort to break the logjam in Brexit trade talks.

With just three weeks before the end of the transition period, significant differences remain between the two sides, particularly with regard to issues like fishing and the level playing field.

Ursula Von Der Leyen has said she “looks forward” to welcoming Boris Johnson to Brussels for more talks.
