Hope That Shannon Housing Developments Will Progress As Flood Defenses Push Ahead

Hope is being expressed that flood protection works in Shannon will now see housing developments which have been hit with delay progress with haste.

Flood Relief Minister Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran this week announced the measures, which will see embankments upgraded to defend both the town and airport.

A development of 22 homes near Glais na Rinne at Tullyglass in Shannon has been put on the back burner because of issues with flood-proned land.
