Health Minister Urged To Act To Avoid Nurses Strike

The Health Minister is being urged to act promptly and to work out a deal with nurses ahead of their planned strike at the end of the month.

It’s after the INMO confirmed their members are to stage a 24-hour strike on January 30th, and a possible five further days of strike action in February.

Minister Simon Harris says the strikes aren’t necessary, and it’s expected talks between nurses’ representatives and health management will be held next week.
