Gilligan says as he moves into the twilight of his career, these occasions become even more special.

Meanwhile one of Clooney/Quin’s key men says everyone is embracing the occasion as they look forward to a first final in over 70 years.

County star Peter Duggan has been the scorer in chief for his side in 2017, and will look to guide them to the Canon Hamilton for just the second time in their history.

Duggan says there’s a great atmosphere around the area ahead of Sunday

Throw in at Cusack Park on Sunday is at 3.30pm, live commentary here on Clare FM in association with O’Sullivan Hansbury Motors Kilrush Road Ennis.
