More Farmers In Clare Applying For Fodder Transport Scheme Than Anywhere Else

The Department of Agriculture has received more applications from Clare than any other county for its fodder transport scheme to date.

So far, 16 farmers in Clare have applied for the relief scheme which reimburses the costs of buying in feed to help them deal with the current crisis.

It’s been a week since the airfield at Shannon Airport was cut to create emergency supply for Clare farmers but since then, wet weather has set those in some parts of the county back a step.
