Emergency Services Attending Collision Near Bunratty

Emergency services are attending a crash involving a car and a truck, which has seen the southbound portion of the N18 dual carriageway closed.

The incident occurred at around 2.30 near the Junction 6 exit for Bunratty.

Two units from the fire brigade in Ennis and two from Shannon are attending the scene, along with Gardaí, though no injuries are reported.

Gardaí say it will be at least an hour before the road is reopened while the deal with the crash.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the road if at all possible, with significant tailbacks building up, while vehicles are being diverted through Bunratty village where traffic is slow-moving.

Update 4:15pm – The road has reopened, with traffic moving slowly in the area.
