“Too Early” For Push To Electric Cars

An Ennis car dealer has raised concern over the future of the motor industry, saying Ireland isn’t ready for the government’s push towards electric vehicles.

New figures released by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that there’s been a more than 16% drop in the number of new cars sold in Clare in the first six months of the year, compared to 2018.

A total of 1,593 new vehicles have been sold in this county to the end of June, versus 1,903 this time last year.
