€80,000 Worth Of Drugs Seized At Shannon Airport

Investigations are continuing after drugs worth over €80,000 were seized at Shannon Airport.

As part of routine operations, Revenue officers discovered the illegal drugs in three separate parcels on Friday.

Two of the parcels, which originated in the Netherlands, contained 1kg of herbal cannabis each concealed within pillows. The third parcel, which came from Italy and declared as ‘garden products’, contained 2kgs of the illegal drug.
