Clare’s man of the match in their Munster SHC win over Tipperary feels getting the better of the Premier in Semple Stadium is one of the best results of recent years.

The 1-23 to 1-21 win was the first time in 90 years that Clare had beaten their neighbours in a championship game in the famous venue.

It also saw the Premier County eliminated from the 2018 Championship ahead of next weekends final round of games which will see Clare and Limerick battle it out in Cusack Park for a place in the provincial decider.

Peter Duggan finished the game with a personal tally of 0-15 and the Clooney/Quin man says it was a massive result for all involved.

Meanwhile Cratloe’s Podge Collins says it’s vital that the whole squad are capable of making an impact when called upon.

Collins was introduced just before half time and hit 0-3 while also setting up Ian Galvin’s crucial late goal with the Clonlara man also having been sprung from the bench.

The 2013 All Star says everyone knows they have a role to play.
