The semi final pairings for the 2018 Clare Senior Hurling Championship have been made.

O’Callaghans Mills will have to get past 2016 winners Ballyea if they’re to reach a first decider since 1993.

The east Clare outfit got the better of last years runners up Clooney/Quin in their quarter final tie and manager Pat Loughnane says everyone put in a huge effort to get them over the line.

The other semi final tie pits 2014 winners Cratloe against last years intermediate champions Kilmaley.

Cratloe exacted revenge for defeat against Sixmilebridge 12 months ago at this stage by knocking the defending champions out of this years race for the Canon.

Manager Alan Neville admits that was a motivating factor for them.

The draws have also been made for the last four of the intermediate championship.

Tubber will go up against Corofin while the other pairing will be dependent on the outcome of the two remaining quarter final ties.

Sixmilebridge and Scariff along with Feakle and Broadford will have to square off again next weekend with the winners then meeting in the other semi final.
