Draws This Evening For Next Round Of Clare Club Hurling Championships

The draw for the third round of the Clare Senior and Intermediate Hurling Championships will be made this evening.

The first quarter finalists have been decided while the relegation battle is also becoming clear.

The scrap for survival in the top tier of Clare club hurling promises to be an intriguing one, with 2011 champions Crusheen and last years semi finalists Feakle joining Clarecastle and Wolfe Tones in the battle to to avoid the drop.

Champions Ballyea are still in the hunt for the Canon but will have to go the long way around after losing out to Sixmilebridge, who are now into the last 8.

Newmarket are also into the Quarter Finals after their win over St Josephs, while Eire Og booked their spot in the last eight with victory over Whitegate.

Last years runners up Clonlara are also safely back into the Quarter Finals after they beat Inagh/Kilnamona.

In this evenings draw for the third round Clooney/Quin, Tulla, Cratloe, and O’Callaghans Mills will be in one pot with Ballyea, St Josephs, Whitegate and Inagh/Kilnamona in the other.

In the Intermediate championship, Broadford, Parteen, Scariff and Kilmaley are all safely into the last eight.
