Countdown Continues To Clare SFC Final

The man who will lead out Ennistymon in Sunday’s Clare Senior Football Final says they always believed they were capable of reaching this stage.

The North Clare men accounted for Eire Óg and champions Kilmurry Ibrickane in their last two games in the championship and now have their sights firmly fixed on St Josephs Miltown.

They’ve scored at least two goals in each of their games to date and will be looking for more of the same on Sunday.

Captain Sean O’Driscoll says with the talent in the club they always felt it was only a matter of time before it paid off.

Meanwhile Miltown captain Gordon Kelly admits getting to this point of the championship was their aim at the start of the year.

The west Clare outfit were last crowned champions in 2015 but Sunday will be their first time back behind the band since that day.

County star Kelly says they’re delighted to be back to the biggest occasion in the club football calender in Clare.
