Clooney/Quin boss Fergie O’Loughlin feels there’s a huge sense of belief in the squad ahead of this weekends Clare Senior Hurling Semi Final.

They’ll take on a Clonlara side looking to reach a third final in a row, while Clooney/Quin are looking to bridge a gap of 75 years since they last marched behind the band.

They’ve recovered from losing to Newmarket in Round to register wins over Feakle, Whitegate and Eire Óg en route to the last four.

Meanwhile Newmarket face Sixmilebridge in the other semi final.

These sides last met in the championship in the 2013 final when the Bridge came out on top thanks in part to a Niall Gilligan penalty.
