Council Warns Of Spot Flooding Following Storm Georgina

Clare County Council is warning of spot flooding in parts of the county following heavy rainfall overnight.

Storm Georgina has passed over Ireland but two yellow weather warnings remain, and motorists are being urged to drive with extreme care.

There’s a nationwide wind alert with gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour, while Clare, Galway, Sligo, Mayo, Leitrim and Donegal being warned to watch out for heavy rain with up to 35 millimetres expected to fall in some places.
