Council Urged To Press Government On State Of Rural Roads

Calls have been made for the Council to assess the state of minor roads and present their findings to Government.

It follows a number of issues that have arisen in recent weeks following the adverse weather conditions, which saw roads in many parts being flooded.

Clare County Council has said the funds aren’t there to carry out a county-wide assessment, while bringing all roads here up to standard would cost around €150million.
