A campaign by Clare County Council to seek landowners and developers in areas of housing demand has attracted 10 expressions of interest.
The local authority is revealing few details about the applications, which are currently being assessed to see if the sites in question are suitable for the delivery of social housing.
If the Council looks to build homes in these areas, then it will seek government funding although the Department of Housing is being told that it must act more quickly in this area.
