The Chairman of Clare GAA says it’s regrettable they’re not in a position to host a double header with the camogie squad in Cusack Park on Sunday.

It had been hoped the National Camogie League clash of Clare and Meath could serve as a curtain raiser to the National Hurling League meeting of Clare and Cork in the county grounds.

This request was refused on the basis of the inclement weather causing an issue with the pitch which Joe Cooney says could have jepordised the hurling fixture.
